Treasury notes are originally issued with a minimum maturity of 2 years and a maximum original issue maturity of 10 years while Treasury bonds are currently issued as a 20 year or 30 bond. There are no Treasury bills with maturities beyond 1year. A bond will always be a bond, a note will always be a note, and a bill will always be a bill regardless of it’s time to maturity.
